The Entourage Effect

What is the Entourage Effect?

efecto séquito

The cannabis plant contains hundreds of chemical compounds, including more than 100 known cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, enzymes, fatty acids, proteins, and more.

Although these compounds can have therapeutic effects in isolation, their combined action is greater than the sum of their individual effects. This enhanced, synergistic response is known as the “Entourage Effect”.

It is not an effect exclusive to cannabis, as for example the cocoa plant also has antioxidant elements whose combined effect is greater than the sum of all of them in isolation.

How do myCBD CBD oils maintain the entourage effect?

In our oils, in addition to CBD (cannabidiol), we make sure that they contain as many of the components present in the plant as possible.

In myCBD’s quality analyses, we check the percentage of CBD in our oils. Still, we also check that there are other cannabinoids and terpenes to maintain the entourage effect, which sets us apart from other cannabidiol oils.

If this is the case, we prefer to offer a product with better results, even if its colour is darker and its taste more bitter.

What cannabinoids and terpenes do I find in myCBD products?

Amongst the cannabinoids and terpenes contained in CBD oil we usually have:

  • Δ9-THC (always in a percentage lower than 0,2%)
  • CBG
  • CBN
  • CBDa
  • Alpha-Pinene
  • Beta-Pinene
  • Limonene
  • Eucalyptol
  • Linalool
  • Terpinolene
  • Terpineol
  • Myrcene
  • Ocimene
  • Alpha-Terpinene
  • Alpha-Thujene
  • Alpha Phellandrene
