Analgesics and side effects

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and paracetamol (acetaminophen) are effective solutions for pain management.

However, these analgesic treatments have been found to be habit-forming in patients, in addition to having side effects. The occurrence of ailments such as drug poisoning and adverse drug reactions are truly a health hazard for everyone. In the United States, about 100 people die each year from acetaminophen overdose by accident 1(No. 1).

A natural analgesic for pain

Today there is a safe and effective alternative to the painkillers of modern medicine: cannabidiol (CBD). The use of medical cannabis is gaining acceptance, with more than half of the United States having passed medical cannabis laws 2 (#2).

Recent research has shown that patients receiving CBD-based treatment for fibromyalgia responded positively to the active ingredient (#3). CBD can also act as an analgesic and be effective for other chronic diseases such as rheumatism, sclerosis or even arthritis.

No side effects and no addiction

A recent study conducted in 2019 on 1,000 marijuana buyers in the United States, concluded that cannabis could help treat these conditions without needing painkillers or opioids. The latter can produce serious side effects and cause fatal overdoses (#4).
